2012년 9월 25일 김황식 국무총리는 에어코리아를 포함하여 2012년 장애인고용 우수사업주로 인증 된 10개 기업의 대표이사와 장애인직원을 국무총리 공관 삼청당(연회장)으로 초청하여 오찬을 함께 하였다.

 

 

에어코리아는 2009년 한국장애인고용공단 시험고용을 통해 장애인 4명 채용을 시작으로 현재 총17명(중증 8명, 경증 9명)으로 고용 확대하였으며, 국내 기업 중 처음으로 사내 청각장애인 네일아티스트를 채용, 사내 직원 무료 서비스를 제공하고 있다.사무직 및 현장 서비스직까지 다양한 직무에서 장애 특성을 고려하여 채용을 확대하고 있으며, 장애 직원들의 신규업무 영역 발굴을 위하여 지속적인 관심을 기울이고 있다.

 

 

국무총리와의 오찬에 초청 된 이형호 대표이사는 에어코리아 장애인 고용 우수사례 발표와 장애인 고용 활성화 방안으로 장애인 인력 Database를 구축, 기업에서 필요로하는 인재를 적극적으로 발굴 할수 있도록 제도 개선을 건의 하였으며, 노인영 사원은 청각 장애인들의 사무직 취업을 위한 사내 네트워크 프로그램 구축 및 한국영화 자막 서비스 검토를 요청하였다.

 

 

이에 대해, 김 총리는 장애인 고용 확대 뿐만 아니라, 삶의 질 향상을 위한 건의도 적극 검토하여 향후 장애인 정책에 반영될 수 있도록 하겠다고 답했다.

 

 

 

Air Korea Invited for Prime Minister’s Luncheon  

 

President Lee Hyung-ho of Air Korea attended luncheon hosted by Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik.  The lunch which was held on September 25 at the official residence of the prime minister was to celebrate the top 10 companies for hiring disabled people including Air Korea.   

 

Air Korea first hired 4 disabled people in 2009 through the pilot program of Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled (KEAD), and now has 17 disabled employees (8 people with severe disabilities and 9 people with mild disabilities) including a nail artist who are hearing impaired.  Air Korea has offered various kinds of work as considering the degrees or the types of disabilities and has developed the tasks and workplaces for disabled employees.  

 

At the luncheon meeting with Prime Minister, President Lee Hyung-ho of Air Korea suggested to compile the Disability Workforce Database in order to find the talented personnel a company needs and to promote employment of disabled people.  Roh In-young, one of the disabled employees of Air Korea asked to build a business network which can help hearing impaired people get clerical works, and also asked to offer subtitle services for Korean movies.  Prime Minister Kim promised to review all proposed ideas in order to increase the employment of disabled people as well as to improve their quality of life.
