고용노동부는 7월 10일 서울 중구 스페이스노아에서 시간제 근로자 및 풀타임 근로자, 인사담당자들과

함께 SNS 토론회_ "달려라 ~ 일하는 여성의 행복달리기"를 개최하였습니다.

이날 토론회에는 방하남 고용노동부 장관과 에어코리아, 메디피아산부인과, 청명환경시스템, 한국

고용정보, CGV, 한국바스프, 메리케이코리아 등 7개 사업장 근로자들이 참석. 토론회의 질의응답은

페이스북 등 SNS를 통해 진행됐으며, 라이브스트림(Livestream)을 통해 고용노동부 페이스북에

생중계 되었습니다.

토론회에서 파트타임,풀타임 근로자들은 다양한 현장의 이야기를 통해 시간제 일자리의 현주소를

진단 / 시간제 일자리 근로자를 뽑은 기업의 인사담당자는 채용 배경과 성과, 애로사항 등을

이야기하고 일/가정 양립 우수 사례를 공유하였습니다.

이번 토론회에서는 고용노동부가 지난 6월 27일부터 이틀 간 페이스북에서 네티즌 2542명을

대상으로 실시한 시간제 일자리에 대한 대국민 인식조사 결과도 공개되었습니다.

조사에 따르면 응답자의 81%가 시간제 일자리에 취업할 의향이 있다고 답할 정도로 관심을

보였다. 시간제 일자리를 원하는 이유로는 ▲ 육아/가사와 병행 할 수 있어서(26%) ▲ 개인여가

시간을 가지고 싶어서(20%) 등이 꼽혔습니다.

시간제 일자리가 꺼려지는 이유는 ▲ 낮은 소득, 복리후생 등 열악한 근로조건 우려(40%)

▲고용불안(20%) 등이 있었습니다.

양질의 시간제 일자리 확산 및 정착을 위해 개선되어야 할 점 ▲ 임금, 승진, 복리후생 등

근로여건 보장(38%), ▲ 시간제 일자리를 비정규직으로 간주하는 사회 인식 개선(21%)

▲풀타임/파트타임의 자유로운 이동 및 선택(17%) ▲ 시간제 근로자 보호법령 제정 및 감독

강화(16%) ▲ 재택근무 등 스마트위크 확산(6%) 순이었습니다.

방하남 장관은 “1990년대 고용률 70%를 달성한 네덜란드의 경우 새로 늘어난 일자리의 절반

가량이 시간제 일자리였고 성공동력도 시간제 근로였다”며 “시간제 일자리를 비정규직과 같은

개념으로 보는 편견 때문에 부정적인 시각이 많은데 한때 불가능하다고 생각한 것이 결국엔

가능한 것이 되지 않겠느냐”고 강조했습니다.

 

 

 

SNS Forum on Supporting Decent Part-time Jobs

 

 

Under the theme "Run - Working Women Race for Happiness", Ministry of Employment and Labor hosted SNS forum at Space Noah in Seoul on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.

 

Employment and Labor Minister Phang Ha-nam and the employees of 7 business organizations including Air Korea attended the forum. The forum with a live question and answer session on social networking sites was broadcasted live on the Ministry of Employment and Labor Facebook via Livestream.

 

The forum aimed to identify the current state of part-time jobs and seek ways of promoting and improving the part-time job system. Full-time/part-time workers shared their work experiences while the company's HR managers shared the background/achievement/difficulties of employment and the best cases of keeping balance between work and family.

 

Ministry of Employment of Labor conducted the survey on the public awareness of part-time jobs between June 27 to June 28 on its Facebook page, involving 2542 respondents.

 

According to the survey, 81% of respondents showed interests in a part-time job and said they would have a part-time work ▲ because it would help them to achieve balance between work and family (26%), and ▲ because it would allow them more free time (20%).

 

On the other hand, people were reluctant to have a part-time work ▲ because of the poor working conditions such as low wages and reduced benefits (40%), or ▲ because of job insecurity (20%).

 

The survey also revealed that in order to increase and improve part-time jobs, ▲ better working conditions such as fair wages, promotions, and benefits should be guaranteed (38%), ▲ public awareness of part-time jobs should be improved (21%), ▲ barriers in moving or choosing between part-time works and full-time works should be eliminated (17%), ▲ part-time workers should be protected by law (16%) ▲Smart Work System including working from home should be increased (6%).

 

Employment and Labor Minister Phang Ha-nam said, "Netherlands achieved 70% employment rate during the 1990s; nearly half of the new jobs were part-time jobs and it were part-time workers who played active role in its national success."  He continued, "We still have the negative view or prejudice that part-time workers are as same as non-regular workers, but something you once considered impossible could turn out to be possible
